Hi. My name is Tara Broderick, owner of Eames & Lola. E&L originally started in June of 2006 as a collaboration of three generations of creative women, Tara (daughter), Maria (mother) and Marie (grandmother). After three months of planning and crafting, we opened our first shop at eamesandlola.com on October 1st, 2006.
Using a combination of thrift store finds, new beads, unused vintage stock and new deconstructed jewelry and findings, together we handcrafted a variety of unique, affordable and cute accessories to adorn women of all ages. The website was organized by style categories, where each of us had our own specialty. My grandmother was in charge of "Crochet" and my mom was responsible for many of the beaded and brass items found under "In The Attic" and "Santa Fe". I made more bold, bright pieces and listed them under "Lolli Pop" and "Sui Generis".
At the start of 2007, we decided to restructure the website. Maria has moved on and opened her own Etsy shop at sincerlybeaded.etsy.com. Marie is still the sole crocheter for Eames & Lola and crafts when she has time. I will continue to run E&L and create pieces that fall under our original categories, but for this shop all items will be listed by category type: rings, bracelets, necklaces...
For those that have been with E&L from the beginning, you'll notice that I've added a new category: Home & Office. I started a new site, buttoncollective.com, on March 1st of this year where I offer a new way for you to organize your 1" pinback button collection. I'll list a few Storyboards under this category along with the new vintage push pin sets.
Please don't hesitate to contact me via email with any questions or concerns that you may have. I try my best to answer emails within 48hrs.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our friends, family and customers for your continued support and patience and as I/we continue to grow.
